2019 Giant Book Sale2019 book sale poster

Hello Friends and Supports of the Annapolis Royal Library:
We are pleased to let you know that our very popular, annual, giant, used book sale will again be held this year! It will take place:
*Saturday, November 17th, *from 9 a.m. to noon, *at St. Luke’s church hall at 340 Saint George St. in Annapolis Royal
Please feel free to  tell your friends and family, share the event from our Facebook page and/or check it out on the Friends of the Library website.
We are still taking donations of gently used books for the sale. These donations can be dropped off at the (old!!!!!!) library (the current local branch location at 285 Saint George St.). Please give them directly to a librarian during open hours. We truly appreciate your donations. Please note that no magazines or encyclopedias are accepted.
Would you like to volunteer for a couple of hours to help make this great event a success? We are looking for lots of book sale volunteers to be on one of three work crews:
1. set up on Friday, Nov. 16 beginning at 5:00 p.m. (unloading, unpacking and/or setting up boxes of books)
2. supervising a table or two during the sale on Nov. 17 for a shift between 9 and 12 (arranging the display, replenishing the books, assisting customers)
3. assisting with take-down/clean up beginning at noon on Nov. 17 (packing up boxes and/or loading left-over books into vehicles)
If you can lend us a hand please contact Lillian Stewart at 902 532-7149. Thank you!
Also, don’t forget to mark your calendar!!!!!Our new location for the Annapolis Royal branch library (at the Academy) will be open on Friday, Nov. 23rd! Hope you are as excited as we are!
Also, why not consider wearing a sporty, new, eye-catching, “I Love my Library” t-shirt around town to share the love? If you’re interested in picking one up, see a librarian at the branch. They are $20. and come in a variety of sizes for men and women.
Also, we want to keep in touch with you and with all our members to keep you informed of the many exciting happenings at your local library. If your contact information (email, phone or home address) has changed since you last informed us, please let us know so our records are up to date. Thanks.

Help! Space Needed for Book Storage
The Friends Group is currently seeking new storage space for our used book collection. They usually only take the space of one or two palettes and we are looking for a space free from dampness, accessible year-round, and not too difficult to access (not a lot of stairs!). If you can help us that would be so wonderful. We usually only add to the collection once a month or so during the winter and a bit more frequently in the summer when we are selling at the Farmers Market. Please get in touch with Linda Moffat if you can give us a hand with this – 902-532-0856   or
