ACTION PLAN

A strategic planning workshop was held May 1, 2019 (see report) where the purpose of the Friends of the Annapolis Royal library was reaffirmed and priorities for the future were agreed upon. A small sub-committee consisting of Lillian Stewart, Anna Kate Newman and Jane Power-Grimm (members of which were agreed upon at the July regular general meeting) held two follow-up meetings in the summer of 2019. They were tasked with taking these priorities and framing them as clear, specific actions for the future. Below is the action plan developed. This plan was approved at the AGM held January 21, 2020. It is designed to be a working document and reviewed at each AGM.

Who We Are:

The Friends of the Annapolis Royal library is a group of volunteers passionate about supporting our branch library and fostering its growth and improvement.

Our Organization’s Purpose:

“To support the improvement and expansion of services and programming offered by the Annapolis Royal branch library.”

Action Plan:

The Friends of the Annapolis Royal Library will:

  1. Take action targeting our organization’s purpose through a focus on:
  2. a) promotion b) programs and c) acquisitions.
  3. Manage the organization with clarity and with a goal of sustainability.
